Archiving the Present
Seven interdisciplinary artists have developed creative site responsive works that draws from their lived, intergenerational and contextual experiences at the former Springvale Migrant Hostel. Artists will draw from their experience and relationship to the site ; now a retirement village.
As part of the project: artists, family, friends and community along with current residents were invited to gather at the site, walk through the space, eat together, connect and share stories with one another.
The works will also be documented and uploaded to Archiving the Present’s website as a growing, living archive and exhibited at Bunjil Place, Narre Waren till October 2023
